What happens in the Your Friends & Neighbors trailer?
The trailer for Your Friends & Neighbors portrays Hamm as a character named Coop, whose unfortunate circumstances unfold after his divorce and job loss. In a desperate bid for finances, Coop resorts to burglarizing homes and snatching valuable possessions. However, the question of how long he can sustain this act without getting caught is still up in the air.
As a fan, I’d rephrase it like this: “Following my shameful dismissal from my hedge fund job and dealing with the aftermath of a divorce, I found myself in a tricky situation – resorting to petty theft from the opulent homes in Westmont Village. But little did I know that the skeletons hidden behind those grand facades could pose threats far greater than I had ever dared to imagine.
Jon Hamm is primarily recognized for his role as Don Draper on AMC’s Mad Men, and he recently appeared as Sheriff Roy Tillman in the latest season of FX’s Fargo. His acting credits span movies like Bridesmaids (2011), Million Dollar Arm (2014), Baby Driver (2017), Bad Times at the El Royale (2018), and Top Gun: Maverick (2022), among others.
Apart from the main characters, the series features Amanda Peet, Olivia Munn, Hoon Lee, Mark Tallman, Lena Hall, Aimee Carrero, Eunice Bae, Isabel Gravitt, and Donovan Colan as well.
The series is developed by Jonathan Tropper, who takes on roles as both showrunner, director, and executive producer. Additionally, Hamm, Connie Tavel, and Craig Gillespie all serve in the role of executive producers. Initially, Gillespie directs the first two episodes, with Stephanie Laing and Greg Yaitanes also directing additional ones.
Your Friends & Neighbors will premiere on Apple TV+ on April 11, 2025.
