Actor Jon Bernthal has been cast in director Christopher Nolan’s upcoming movie titled “The Odyssey.” In a playful remark, he shared that the appearance he’s sporting for the film isn’t exactly winning him any affection at home.

Recently, Bernthal made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! where he was questioned about his role in the movie.

As a devoted admirer, I’d say that working with Nolan is an extraordinary experience, one-of-a-kind, in fact! And let me tell you, the man has trimmed his locks quite short lately, while growing a rather impressive beard. It’s got people talking, especially about how it’s impacted his personal life – quite the conversation starter, that beard of his!

Bernthal stated that he’s unique and it’d be a great chance to collaborate with someone like him. Even if he were to give you a beard-and-haircut similar to the one I currently sport, I find myself in a predicament due to my wife’s ‘no kissing with facial hair’ rule. As a result, we both look quite rugged.

Then, when you attach a bald head, the ears become more noticeable, and the nose seems to grow larger as well, it’s not a positive change. It’s not a positive change, I feel like I’m being ridiculed at home.
