At last, the refined version of “The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion” has arrived! Now, gamers can immerse themselves once more in its vast landscape. Stepping out of the sewers will grant you a significant section of the map to navigate, allowing you to choose your own pace for exploration or quickly traverse distant locations using fast travel, which makes quests and cities more readily accessible.
Regardless if you’re following the primary storyline or considering joining a guild, it’s always wise to have some Gold set aside. An enjoyable and profitable method to acquire it is by battling tough adversaries in the blood-splattered Arena. The Arena can be accessed fairly early, providing a consistent income and an engaging test of skill. Here’s how to join it in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered.
How To Join The Arena In Oblivion Remastered
Once you’ve finished the game tutorial in the sewers and decided to leave, pull up your map and opt for quick travel to the Imperial City Arena. Although you could choose to stroll all the way there, it is suggested that you save time by using fast travel instead. Upon arrival, you’ll find yourself standing just outside the Arena, where Hundolin awaits. Initiate a conversation with him, and he will advise you to chat with Owyn, the Blademaster. Turning to your left, you’ll notice a door that leads directly into the Imperial City Arena Bloodworks.
After wrapping up the tutorial in the game, leave the sewers and open your map. Travel quickly to the Imperial City Arena instead of walking. It’s quicker if you use fast travel. Upon arrival, you’ll see Hundolin outside the arena. Talk to him, and he’ll tell you to meet Owyn, the Blademaster. Then, look left, and you’ll spot a door that leads into the Arena Bloodworks.
In informal language:
Once you’re done with the tutorial in the game, ditch the sewers and check your map. Instead of walking to the Imperial City Arena, use fast travel to save time. When you get there, Hundolin will be waiting outside. Talk to him, and he’ll tell you to chat up Owyn, the Blademaster dude. Take a gander to your left, and you’ll see a door that leads into the Arena Bloodworks.
In Bloodworks, turn left at the first junction, and towards the end of the corridor, you’ll encounter a gruff Redguard. He offers the chance to join combat, for which he provides a Blue Raiment, a garment essential for participating in the Arena.
The Arena operates from 9:00 in the morning till 9:00 at night, and feel free to challenge Owyn whenever you’re prepared. Just remember, if you win a match, refrain from looting your opponent’s remains as it’s against the rules.
Fighting In The Arena
Following Owyn’s instructions, you can prepare your spells, weapon, and venture through the Arena’s door. Your initial battle should be a breeze, lasting no longer than three minutes. Once finished, retrace your steps and interact with the Basin of Renewal to replenish Stamina, Magicka, and Health. Chatting with Owyn again will earn you 50 Gold, allowing you to begin the next match promptly. Every third contest yields a rank up and a Trophy/Achievement.
As I emerged from the grimy Sewers, I’d be wise to halt my stride when I encounter Bloodletter. The battles ahead are only getting tougher, so it’s crucial to take a breather, level up, and hone my skills in this game’s combat before diving back in.
