In a fresh sneak peek from their latest project, titled “The Studio“, Johnny Knoxville and Josh Hutcherson can be seen engaging in a thrilling zombie fight, but these aren’t your typical undead – they have explosive diarrhea!
The Studio represents a brand-new television show on Apple TV+, which has been developed by the creative team consisting of Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, Frida Perez, Peter Huyck, and Alex Gregory. In this upcoming comedy series, set in Hollywood, Seth Rogen will be playing the main character. This laugh-out-loud production is scheduled to debut next month.

What happens in The Studio clip?
In the video for The Studio, Knoxville and Hutcherson play roles in a fictional film titled Duhpocalypse, which is being previewed by Seth Rogen’s character along with others. Kathryn Hahn then reveals that theater owners are rejecting the trailer’s screening due to its diarrhea content, sparking several frustrated responses.
As a passionate gamer, I’m expressing my concern here: “Is the humor overshadowing the main theme of our movie? After all, we crafted a witty critique on medical misinformation, and I don’t want that message to get blurred.
Alongside Catherine O’Hara, Ike Barinholtz, Chase Sui Wonders, and Bryan Cranston, there are other talented individuals who make up the ensemble of this show.
The logline goes: “In the tough world of filmmaking where movies fight to stay afloat and remain relevant, Matt and his team of conflicted executives grapple with their own insecurities. They navigate through a sea of self-centered artists and ruthless corporate bosses, always on the hunt for creating excellent films. With their power suits hiding their constant anxiety, every gathering, filming location visit, casting choice, marketing meeting, and award ceremony offers them a chance for dazzling triumph or disastrous downfall. Having movies as his lifelong passion, this job could either be Matt’s dream come true or the very thing that ruins him.
In addition to Rogen and Goldberg, James Weaver, Alex McAtee, and Josh Fagen also take on the role of executive producers.
On March 26, 2025, the first two installments of The Studio series will debut on Apple TV+. Subsequent episodes will be made available each Wednesday, concluding the 10-episode season on May 21, 2025.
