In a chat with The Sunday Times, the actor from Pirates of the Caribbean spoke about his upcoming directorial project, Modi: Three Days on the Wing of Madness, due for release in the U.K. When the publication brought up his much-discussed trial with Amber Heard and its effect on his private life, Depp mentioned three individuals who caused him pain by acting deceitfully towards him.

The actor shared that there are three specific people who have wronged him. He mentioned that these individuals would participate in his children’s parties and even playfully toss them up in the air. However, he acknowledged the challenges faced by those who did not support him, understanding their apprehension about making the “right decision.

Additionally, Depp stated that his situation occurred prior to the #MeToo era, likening himself to a “test dummy” for this movement. Furthermore, he expressed that he endured and learned from the adverse experiences he encountered.

He also mentioned, “From among the many professionals I’ve encountered in that field, I wanted to find out who was taking the more conservative approach.” Translating that into a modern slang, he said, “Let’s see who’s playing it cool!

Johnny Depp further elaborated that the court case reached a significant point, causing him to expose parts of his life and personality extensively (semi-eviscerate).

The 62-year-old stated, “Everyone was saying, ‘It’ll disappear!’ But I don’t believe it. What is this supposed to vanish? Not the misinformation that’s been circulating worldwide, certainly not.

Johnny Depp emphasized that he needed to “uphold honesty” and risk facing charges for the allegations leveled against him. Moreover, Depp mentioned that he wasn’t apprehensive on the eve of his court case with Amber Heard in Virginia.
