Joey Graziadei, an American TV personality, gained fame mainly due to finishing as the runner-up on the 20th season of ‘The Bachelorette’ and later starring as the lead contestant in the 28th season of ‘The Bachelor.’
Early Life & Education
Joseph Michael Graziadei was born on the 24th of May, 1995. Growing up, he resided in Royersford, Pennsylvania, alongside his mom and dad, Nick and Cathy, as well as his sisters, Carly and Ellie. In his early school years, his parents parted ways after his father disclosed that he was gay.
In the year 2013, Joey Graziadei finished his high school journey at Spring-Ford High School. Following that, he attended West Chester University to focus on tennis, ultimately graduating with a bachelor’s degree in communication and media studies in the year 2017.
While attending college, he became a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternal organization. Upon completing his studies, he moved to Hawaii.
Joey Graziadei Career
Prior to becoming a well-known reality TV personality, Joey Graziadei spent his days as a professional tennis coach, imparting his knowledge about sports. He then dabbled in corporate jobs before ultimately deciding to dedicate himself entirely to teaching tennis.
He has worked as an accountant at Paylocity and taken on various positions at Comdata, a company specializing in payment processing. Yet, he decided to end his tennis coaching career in the year 2022.
Between the years 2018 to 2020, he held the position of the primary tennis coach at Kukuiula Development Co. LLC, located in Koloa, Hawaii. Following this, from 2021 until 2022, he worked independently as a tennis instructor based in Nashville.
In March 2023, it was revealed that Joey Graziadei would be one of the suitors in the 20th edition of “The Bachelorette,” which stars Charity Lawson.
In the end, he made it to the last two competitors, yet it was his fellow competitor, Dotun Olubeko, who was ultimately chosen instead.
On August 21, 2023, during the real-time conclusion of Bachelorette season 20, it was decided that Graziadei would star in season 28 of The Bachelor live on air.
Come September 4, 2024, I’ll be strapping on my dancing shoes and taking to the floor for the 33rd season of Dancing with the Stars! My partner will be none other than the fabulous Jenna Johnson. Can’t wait to show off my moves!
On November 26th, I was crowned the champion for this season, and I got to take home the prestigious Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy. Incredibly, as a guy from the Bachelor franchise, I became the first male contestant to claim victory in the competition.
Personal Life
2023-11-12 saw Joey Graziadei announcing his engagement with Kelsey Anderson, a contestant from his season on The Bachelor. The final episode of that season, airing on 2024-03-25, captured this significant moment.
