Joe Locke, the star of Heartstopper, has now shared his thoughts on the surprising ending of Agatha All Along from Disney+. In this show, Locke portrayed William/Billy Maximoff, a character who turned out to be the son of the Scarlet Witch, as revealed by Kathryn Hahn’s character.

In a recent conversation, Locke hinted at the possibility of Wiccan’s comeback, suggesting that his character will deal with the repercussions of his past deeds as portrayed in Agatha All Along.
He expressed that he carries a great deal of regret because unintentionally, he took the lives of three friends. If given another chance to portray this character, I wish I could delve deeper into this aspect. He’s not inherently evil, but his actions led to tragic consequences, causing the deaths of three individuals.
Furthermore, the British actor delved into his character’s internal battle regarding accepting his role as Wanda’s son.

Meet Billy, or should I say William? It’s peculiar because he seems to accept the fact that he is Billy Maximoff, yet he also embraces his other identity. As the story unfolds, it appears he’s on a journey of self-discovery. He grapples with identifying which one he truly is, but eventually understands that he can embody both. It’s reminiscent of how he views the Kaplans as parents, yet he is deeply connected to his own family and identity as Billy Maximov. A scene occurs where a character mentions Wanda, to which he responds, ‘She’s not my mom. I have a mom.’ This suggests that while he cherishes them, he is uniquely both characters, with each coming with its own set of experiences, perhaps someday revealing more about his complex identity.
