JFK’s Secret Lover Is Murdered in Dovey’s Promise Trailer | Exclusive

Breaking Glass Pictures’ upcoming historical drama about civil rights activist and lawyer Dovey Johnson Roundtree, titled “Dovey’s Promise,” will have its exclusive trailer premiered by ComingSoon. This film is set to hit theaters later in the year.

The summary goes on to tell us about Mary Pinchot Meyer, who was JFK’s secret lover. She was viciously killed in a park in Georgetown, and just 11 months after Kennedy was assassinated, a powerless black man named Raymond Crump was taken into custody for the crime. However, well-known Civil Rights attorney Dovey Roundtree was convinced of Crump’s innocence and decided to defend him for an extremely low fee. This marked the start of what became known as one of the most significant trials in history – a trial that saw Dovey Roundtree go head-to-head with the U.S. Department of Justice, a battle that is still remembered today and forms the basis of this compelling courtroom drama.
