20th Century Studios has now renamed the title of their forthcoming Bruce Springsteen film, starring Emmy award-winning actor Jeremy Allen White portraying the iconic artist. The movie is slated for a theater release on October 24, 2025.
The movie tells the story behind Bruce Springsteen’s 1982 Nebraska album creation. At that time, he was a young artist on the brink of worldwide fame, grappling with the tension between the demands of success and the echoes of his past. Recorded in his New Jersey bedroom using a 4-track recorder, this album is significant in Springsteen’s life and is often regarded as one of his most lasting masterpieces – an unpolished, haunting acoustic collection filled with characters seeking hope.
What is the new title for the Bruce Springsteen movie?
The studio has now rebranded the movie previously known as “Deliver Me From Nowhere” to “Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere”, making it more identifiable to the public as a biographical film about Bruce Springsteen. Alongside White, the cast also features Jeremy Strong portraying Springsteen’s longtime confidant and manager, Jon Landau; Paul Walter Hauser playing guitar tech Mike Batlan; Stephen Graham acting as Springsteen’s father, Doug; Odessa Young depicting love interest Faye; Gaby Hoffman as Springsteen’s mother, Adele; Marc Maron in the role of Chuck Plotkin; and David Krumholtz as Al Teller, a Columbia executive.
According to Warren Zane’s book of the same title, this project follows Bruce Springsteen’s emotional process of creating one of his most critically acclaimed albums so far. The film is both written and directed by Scott Cooper. It is produced by Cooper, Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Eric Robinson, and Scott Stuber, while Tracey Landon and Warren Zanes act as executive producers.
