Final Jeopardy Wagers and Winner for March 6

As a gamer, I managed to snatch my second win during the March 6 game, even though I wasn’t leading going into Final Jeopardy. In an interesting twist, none of us got the correct answer, but my cautious wager was enough to secure the victory.

Juveria maintained an aggressive approach throughout the game, accumulating $16,000 before the segment. However, she wagered too heavily, betting $11,201 on her incorrect guess of “Richard the Lionheart.” This misstep dropped her to third place with a remaining balance of $4,799.

On a budget of just $13,600, Matt unfortunately gave an incorrect response of “Richard I.” However, his loss amounted to only $2,401. This leaves him in the top position with a remaining balance of $11,199. Essentially, this strong performance has secured him a spot in the upcoming Jeopardy Masters tournament.

Once more, Roger came close to claiming victory with a total of $9,400. However, he mistakenly chose “Richard I” and suffered a loss of $4,201. In the end, he finished in second place with $5,199 remaining.

Final Jeopardy Answer for March 6

The correct answer for Final Jeopardy on March 6, 2025 is “Who is Henry II?”

In the year 1170, four knights loyal to King Henry II ended up killing Thomas Becket, who was the Archbishop of Canterbury. Their initial intention was to seize him by force because Becket had excommunicated another archbishop for coronating Henry’s eldest son as a joint king. However, instead of taking Becket captive, they tragically took his life. This act transformed Becket into a martyr, and over time, he gained a significant following that eventually led to him being canonized as a saint in 1173.

During a political turmoil with his wife and sons who sought to seize power, King Henry chose to embark on a lengthy religious journey. He walked barefoot and later submitted himself to penance at Thomas Becket’s shrine, where monks lashed him. The next day, the war mysteriously ended, and Henry’s ties with the church and Becket’s followers strengthened markedly.
