As a dedicated fan who has followed Jeon Hye-Jin’s illustrious career since her days in “Uncle,” I must say that her return to the small screen after a two-year hiatus is nothing short of exhilarating! The fact that she will be portraying a complex character like Lee Jung-Eun, a beauty marketer juggling a demanding job and single motherhood, only adds to my anticipation.
Actress Jeon Hye-Jin has just revealed her upcoming K-drama titled “Riding Life“. This marks her return to acting after a two-year hiatus, following her role in the drama world. The series is an adaptation of the same-titled novel and is expected to air on ENA.
The story revolves around the themes of significant topics, such as single mothers and the education system. It features a working mother, Lee Jung-Eun, who takes care of her seven-year-old daughter alone. However, her mother Yoon Ji-Ah helps in raising the kid but the relationship between Hye-Jin and Ji-Ah suffers. The storyline also gives a little importance to romance.

The upcoming South Korean drama titled “Riding Life” features Jeon Hye-Jin (from “Search: WWW” and “Uncle”), Jo Min-Soo, Jung Jin-Young, and Jeon Suk-Ho in significant roles. In this series, Hye-Jin takes on the leading part as Lee Jung-Eun, a woman who works in the marketing sector of the beauty industry. Besides juggling her job, she grapples with the complexities of her seven-year-old daughter’s educational system. Additionally, there seems to be tension in her relationship with her own mother.
In a new take on things: Min-Soo (from The Witch: Part 1) portrays Jung-Eun’s mom, Ji-Ah. She is a dedicated child psychologist and a single parent. Ji-Ah assists her daughter in nurturing the toddler, yet struggles to mend their bond. Regrettably, her attempts fall short. Ji-Ah also has an affection for Lee Young-Wook, played by Jung Jin-Young (Queen of Tears, The Auditors). Additionally, Jeon Suk-Ho (Love Next Door, Doona!, Moving) steps into the role of Hong Jae-Man, Hye-Jin’s husband. He is a devoted family man, but his immaturity often complicates matters.
Movie director Kim Cheol-Kyu has taken charge of this project. He is well-known for producing popular series such as Flower of Evil, Celebrity, Confession, and My Beautiful Bride. Additionally, he won the Best Directing category at the 57th Baeksang Arts Awards and participated in the first Cannes International Series Festival.
Meanwhile, Riding Life will premiere in the first half of 2025.
