As a die-hard fan, I’m always excited to learn more about my favorite actors and their experiences on set. In a recent chat, Jennifer Lawrence, who stars alongside Robert Pattinson in the gripping psychological drama “Die, My Love,” shared an interesting tidbit: filming intimate scenes with Rob was surprisingly smooth. Directed by Lynne Ramsay, this movie follows Lawrence and Pattinson as a troubled couple. The story unfolds as their marriage crumbles when Lawrence’s character grapples with postpartum depression, leading her down a harrowing path of despair.

Jennifer Lawrence comments on sex scenes with Robert Pattinson

In a recent chat with Brut, a popular French digital platform, I found myself engaged in a fascinating discussion with the exceptionally talented Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson about our upcoming project, “Die, My Love.” We delved into the intricacies of filming intimate scenes for this captivating production.

Lawrence mentioned it was incredibly straightforward, adding there was an abundance and an immediate sense of trust. In other words, when filming intimate scenes as they did, one doesn’t always have the luxury of choosing their scene partners or feeling at ease.

In the course of discussing Die, My Love, the actress from The Hunger Games revealed that director Lynne Ramsay required her and Robert Pattinson to attend dance lessons prior to filming. She confessed that this endeavor left them both feeling humiliated and embarrassed. Yet, they agreed that Ramsay’s demand had proven beneficial in the end.

On the initial day of filming, we found ourselves stripped down and engaging in confrontations reminiscent of fierce tiger encounters, as Lawrence put it.

Later, Pattinson remarked that they believed things couldn’t become “even more awkward,” but then they were told to enact a “tiger-like” scene in the nude, as instructed by Ramsay. Both actors agreed that this idea from Ramsay was quite clever.

In case there’s no fondness between us, the situation grows progressively uncomfortable,” the actor who played The Batman commented. “Receiving instructions, especially in such a vulnerable state, is actually quite amusing.

In spite of the embarrassing and uncomfortable nature of the filming process, both Lawrence and Pattinson eventually grew accustomed to it, as mentioned by the former. She humorously commented, “You’re just chatting, receiving directions, even having a snack… all while being in the buff.

Was it mentioned if having an intimacy consultant aided in the filming of the intimate scenes? Lawrence affirmed their presence, stating, “I always felt secure throughout the process. Rob behaved appropriately.

Pattinson then joked that he was a “very unthreatening guy pretending to be a cat.”

Afterward, the pair acknowledged that the presence of intimacy directors during filming proved beneficial. Pattinson mentioned further that these professionals played a crucial role in navigating potentially uncomfortable discussions regarding the intricacies of on-camera nudity.
