It’s said that Jennifer Lawrence is being considered for a part in Jonah Hill’s upcoming film, where he himself will be taking on the director’s chair.
What would the Jennifer Lawrence movie be about if she joins the Cut Off cast?
As per a summary in the latest Variety report discussing movies receiving California production tax credits, a film named “Cut Off” is mentioned. This upcoming project, slated for direction and starring by Hill, will be produced under Warner Bros. Discovery. The plot revolves around two jovial and affluent twins who unexpectedly lose access to their family’s fortune, forcing them to navigate life on their own.
According to Variety’s report, there are rumors that Lawrence and Hill may be sharing the lead roles in a film. However, neither an official confirmation about Lawrence joining the project nor any information about its imminent start of production has been provided as of now.
Previously, Hill and Lawrence collaborated, with their most recent project being the 2021 film “Don’t Look Up”. More recently, in 2022, Lawrence featured in “Causeway”, a drama on Apple TV+ where she acted alongside Brian Tyree Henry.
Presently, Hill is engrossed in the production of a fresh movie titled “Outcome.” In this project, he not only serves as the director but also appears on screen alongside Keanu Reeves, Cameron Diaz, Matt Bomer, and others. The distribution rights for this film have been acquired by Apple TV+, although specific release details are yet to be disclosed.
Before Don’t Look Up in 2021, Hill had his last on-screen appearance. Since then, he has mainly focused on producing and directing films. However, he faced some criticism in 2023 due to allegations of emotional abuse by ex-girlfriend Sarah Brady, and soon after, former child actress Alexa Nikolas claimed that he kissed her without permission at a party hosted by Justin Long when she was 16 and he was 24.
Hill’s legal representative rejected the accusations, and a rep for Long stated that the actor had no involvement in the incident.
