As a gamer, I’m super excited for tomorrow because “Hurry Up” is being directed by Trey Edward Shults, who’s known for movies like “It Comes at Night” and “Waves”. Co-written with Reza Fahim and Abel Tesfaye (also known as The Weeknd), this movie also features Tesfaye and Ortega, along with Barry Keoghan. Can’t wait to see it!

Despite the specific storyline remaining undisclosed, earlier reports hinted at the movie’s resemblance to the 1990 film ‘Misery’, focusing on a mysterious individual harassing a renowned artist. A succinct summary for the film tantalizes with “an insomniac musician embarks on a journey with a stranger who progressively dismantles the very foundations of his being.

Tesfaye shared that creating this film was deeply introspective and healing for him in a statement this week. He discovered throughout the process – from scriptwriting to production and post-production – how powerful an artistic medium can be in sparking discussions about our feelings, mental wellbeing, and personal vulnerabilities.
