The actor shared his difficult experiences and declared that Aarti, together with her relatives, always failed to show him proper respect. Even with a thriving profession, he was unable to maintain a personal bank account and had to ask his spouse for everyday costs. He asserted that she refused to let him manage the finances himself.

Jayam Ravi disclosed that he experienced a challenging dynamic with his wife’s family matriarch, who was a key investor in many movies he featured in. He claimed that she portrayed these films as money-losing ventures, even though he felt they were commercially successful at the box office.

Furthermore, Ravi shared that for quite some time, he had mostly stayed away from WhatsApp due to his wife frequently checking his messages and inquiring about each one he received. He also disclosed that he lacked control over his Instagram account, leading him to request help from Meta to regain access to it.

After spending 15 years as a married couple, Jayam Ravi and Aarti decided to go their separate ways. Together they raised two boys named Ayaan and Aarav.
