To mark its 50th anniversary, Universal Pictures has disclosed that Steven Spielberg’s timeless suspense thriller, “Jaws”, will be available in 4K, Blu-ray, and digital formats on a specific release date. This announcement precedes the movie’s scheduled screenings at the 2025 TCM Classic Film Festival, which takes place from August 29 to September 4 in theaters.
In the coastal town of Amity, a fearsome great white shark starts terrorizing the community. The police chief, a marine biologist, and a seasoned shark hunter then join forces on a dangerous mission to eliminate the beast before it attacks again. This film, with its haunting score that induces sheer dread, has left an indelible mark in cinema history as one of the most impactful and thrilling journeys ever produced by Universal Pictures, more than 50 years after its release.
When is Jaws 4K, Blu-ray, and digital release date?
On June 17, 2025, you’ll have the opportunity to acquire the 50th Anniversary edition of Jaws in various formats: 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and digital download. This special edition will also be offered as a limited SteelBook, featuring exclusive art never seen before. Moreover, this package will include an unprecedented documentary about the production and impact of the film, titled “Jaws @ 50: The Definitive Inside Story.” This documentary series is directed by Laurent Bouzereau, in collaboration with National Geographic, Amblin Documentaries, Nedland Media, and Wendy Benchley.
