Besides Melissa Benoist (Supergirl), the ensemble of Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow features Matthias Schoenaerts playing Krem from the Yellow Hills, Eve Ridley portraying Ruthye Marye Knoll, David Krumholtz in the role of Zor-El, and Emily Beecham as Alura In-Ze.

The film is adapted from the 2021-2022 comic book miniseries titled “Supergirl: Being Super” by Tom King and Bilquis Evely. As stated in the first issue’s synopsis, Kara Zor-El has experienced numerous grand adventures throughout her life, but finds herself questioning her existence. Having witnessed her home planet’s destruction and being sent to Earth to protect a cousin who no longer needed her protection, she wonders what was the purpose of it all. Plagued by the fame associated with Superman, Supergirl feels unfulfilled until everything takes an unexpected turn. An extraterrestrial girl approaches her for a dangerous mission. Her world has been devastated, and the wrongdoers responsible are still at large. Seeking vengeance, she demands Supergirl’s assistance or she will carry out the mission herself, regardless of the cost. Thus, a Kryptonian, a dog, and a troubled child embark on an interstellar journey that will challenge them to their very core.

Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow will be released in United States theaters on June 26, 2026.
