Jason Kelce on WWE WrestleMania 40 Appearance: ‘It Actually Does Hurt’

As a seasoned gamer and sports enthusiast, I must say that Jason Kelce’s foray into the world of WWE at WrestleMania 40 was nothing short of electrifying! Having followed his illustrious career with the Philadelphia Eagles, it’s heartening to see him embrace a new challenge.

Jason Kelce, a retired professional football player, has disclosed plans for his upcoming appearance at WWE’s WrestleMania 40, which will take place in Philadelphia – a city where he previously played.

At WrestleMania 40, the match pitted Rey Mysterio and Andrade against Santos Escobar and his son, Dominik Mysterio. In the closing seconds, Escobar commanded Dominik to attack Rey with a steel chair. But just as Dominik was about to strike, two masked luchadors stepped in, preventing the blow. This intervention resulted in Andrade delivering ‘The Message’ to Dominik, and Rey executing a splash on Escobar, thereby securing victory for their team.

Following the game’s conclusion, two individuals wearing masks took off their disguises, unveiling none other than Jason Kelce and Lane Johnson of the Philadelphia Eagles. This revelation was met with thunderous applause from the spectators. Lately, Kelce has shared insights on his preparation for WrestleMania 40.

Jason Kelce said this about his WWE WrestleMania appearance

Philadelphia Eagles’ standout player Jason Kelce recently chatted with The Rich Eisen Show. During their conversation, Kelce discussed his plans for WWE WrestleMania 40. Excited because the event is scheduled to take place in Philadelphia, he and fellow Eagle Lane Johnson started their preparations as soon as the announcement was made.

As a gaming enthusiast, let me tell you, I’d never given WrestleMania much thought before. But when they announced it was heading to Philly and wanted Lane and me involved, my curiosity piqued. I began to understand the magnitude of this event within the wrestling world.

Speaking further about his routine, Kelce explained, “Lane and I visited a couple of wrestling studios in South Jersey. We were performing moves and stunts. I mastered the art of bumping; I learned how to clothesline. I even figured out how to take a hard chest slap without showing it on my face, as it indeed hurts quite a bit. It’s like receiving a strong smack to the chest.

He added, “Let me tell you, that mat doesn’t feel soft at all; it’s as hard as a board. Watching athletes like the ones who leap off the top rope performing acrobatics such as Rey Mysterio’s signature flips gives an entirely different impression and inspires immense admiration for their athleticism.

Jason Kelce clearly had a great time at WWE WrestleMania 40. Moreover, it’s worth noting that he didn’t dismiss the idea of showing up again someday within the wrestling world.
