The long-awaited adaptation of “Love Is Better The Second Time Around” is finally coming to Viki on July 29, 2024. Having followed the manga series and eagerly anticipated its live-action debut, I can hardly wait to see how the story unfolds on screen.
The captivating Japanese BL drama titled “Love Is Better The Second Time Around” started airing on Japanese TV networks MBS and TBS on March 6, 2024. This highly anticipated series came to an end on April 10, 2024. Based on the widely acclaimed manga by Kinoshita Keiko, fans of the genre were thrilled for its global release on streaming platforms.
On their Instagram account, Viki announced that a new Japanese BL drama is coming soon to stream on their platform.
Japanese BL drama Love Is Better The Second Time Around releases on Viki
Based on a post from Viki’s Instagram, the captivating Japanese BL drama “Love Is Better the Second Time Around” is set to premiere on the streaming platform on Monday, July 29, 2024.
In terms of airing schedules, most ongoing shows on Viki are broadcast a few hours after their original network release. For shows that have finished airing, however, their broadcast times on Viki have yet to be announced. As a result, it’s currently uncertain when this BL Japanese drama will be shown on the platform.
Aya Watatane and Yuka Yasukawa have been responsible for penning the script for this Japanese drama. It’s worth mentioning that Yuka Yasukawa additionally helms the director’s role in a BL (Boy’s Love) series. The narrative focuses on Akihiro Miyata, a journalist, and Takashi Iwanaga, a professor. An intriguing turn of events ensues when Akihiro stumbles upon Takashi during his magazine research, only to realize they have a past connection.
Robin Furuya takes on the role of Takashi Iwanaga, also known as Takashi Hoshizawa, who is a major character in Love Is Better The Second Time Around. At the same time, Makoto Hasegawa brings Akihiro Miyata to life, another significant figure in the series. Additionally, the ensemble cast features Aloha Takamatsu, Haruki Mochizuki, Riko Nagase, Shunya Shiraishi, and Aino Kuribayashi, among others.
