As a long-time gamer with memories of playing on my old Atari 2600 and NES, I must say that the January 2025 video game releases have me absolutely thrilled! The upcoming lineup is truly reminiscent of the golden age of gaming, with a mix of classic reboots, sequels, and new titles that are sure to keep me entertained for months to come.

One game I’ve been eagerly waiting for since its initial announcement is Wuthering Waves 2.0 on PS5. The first game was such an immersive experience, and the addition of Chapter 2.0 with the new Rinascita playground has me even more excited to dive back into this beautiful world.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is another title that I can’t wait to get my hands on. The remake was one of the best games of 2024, and playing it on PC will be a dream come true for many fans who didn’t have access to a PS5.

And let’s not forget about Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 making its debut on PC! I’ve been a huge Insomniac fan since Ratchet & Clank, and the first Spider-Man game was one of my favorites of 2018. I can’t wait to swing through New York City again as everyone’s favorite wall-crawler.

Star Wars Hunters is another game that caught my attention. As a lifelong Star Wars fan, I’ve been eagerly awaiting a new multiplayer Star Wars experience, and the 4v4 PvP action-packed arena shooter sounds like just what the doctor ordered. Plus, cross-progression means I can keep my progress even if I switch devices!

In conclusion, January 2025 is shaping up to be an incredible month for gamers everywhere. If you’re a PC player, this might just be your year! And as they say, “May the force be with you” – or in this case, may the controller be with you too!

2024 is about to bid farewell and welcome a new year for us all. The past 12 months have been filled with terrific games like Helldivers 2, Astro Bot, and Metaphor ReFantazio, and the next 12 months look promising, given what’s currently scheduled for release. Additionally, there will be more Star Wars adventures to embark on.
