However, the recent allegations against choreographer Jani Master are particularly disturbing due to the gravity of the charges and the involvement of his wife.
Notable dance artist Jani Master has been drawing attention lately following allegations by a 21-year-old female colleague choreographer. She asserted that on numerous instances during outdoor filming, Jani Master inappropriately exploited his position towards her.
Based on her allegations, a First Information Report (FIR) with no initial findings (Zero FIR) has been filed, and later passed on to the Narsingi police station for a thorough examination.
Now, according to some of her latest declarations, it’s not only Jani Master who is implicated, but his wife appears to be equally involved in the allegations surrounding the sexual assault case.
It was disclosed by the female choreographer that Jani’s wife often visited her home, making demands for her husband’s marriage and threatening physical violence if she refused. This startling revelation has left people stunned, and it is anticipated that authorities will conduct a thorough investigation into these allegations.
Previously, according to the initial claim I’ve read, it was alleged that whenever we ventured out for our outdoor filming trips, Jani Master had inappropriately crossed boundaries with the victim—incidents reportedly occurred not just in Chennai, Mumbai, but also Hyderabad. As a die-hard fan, this behavior is truly disheartening and unacceptable to me, given his public persona.
According to Hindustan Times, the police stated that she alleged he had assaulted her multiple times at her home in Narsingi. Since she lives in Narsingi, the case has now been handed over to their local police for continued investigation.
Consequently, choreographer Jani Master is currently facing charges in several cases: one for criminal intimidation (section 506), another for rape (section 376), and yet another for causing hurt voluntarily (section 323). Furthermore, it has been decided to register a case against him under the Prevention of Sexual Harassment at Workplace (PoSH) Act as well.
To those not familiar, Jani Master is known for creating the dance routines in numerous popular Indian film songs such as Rowdy Baby, Aai Nai, Kaavaalaa, and many others.
