Jana Nayagan: Thalapathy Vijay starrer buys remake rights of NBK’s Bhagavanth Kesari worth Rs 4.5 crore for THIS reason

Thalapathy Vijay is getting ready for the release of his seemingly last film, Jana Nayagan, set to premiere on January 9, 2026. While the movie is being filmed, there have been whispers that it could be a remake of Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Bhagavanth Kesari, which appears to hold some truth.

According to a recent article by Telugu360, the producers of Thalapathy Vijay’s upcoming movie have acquired the remake rights for Bhagavanth Kesari in order to incorporate a specific scene from that film.

In the upcoming movie “Jana Nayagan,” a scene similar to the “Good Touch, Bad Touch” concept from the film starring Nandamuri Balakrishna will be featured. It’s been reported that actor Vijay was so captivated by this film that he requested its incorporation into Jana Nayagan.

It’s been reported that the creators of Jana Nayagan acquired the remake rights for a particular scene featuring Nandamuri Balakrishna and Sreeleela, at a cost of approximately Rs 4.5 crores.

In 2023, a movie helmed by director Anil Ravipudi unfolded as an action-packed drama. The plot revolved around an ex-policeman who assumes the role of a paternal figure and protector for Vijayalakshmi. His dream is to see her following in her father’s footsteps, becoming a soldier just as he had envisioned.

In the heart-pounding tale I’m so captivated by, my obsession deepens as their lives intersect with a wealthy adversary nursing a personal grudge. The narrative then unfolds, keeping me on the edge of my seat, as it explores this man’s relentless pursuit to outwit his foe and whether Vijayalakshmi can realize her father’s unfulfilled dream.

In the main parts, NBK and Sreeleela are joined by a talented group of actors including Kajal Aggarwal, Arjun Rampal, and others who play significant roles.

Conversely, the movie Jana Nayagan is known for its blend of action, drama, and distinct political themes, skillfully directed by H Vinoth. In this production, Pooja Hegde and Bobby Deol share leading roles, supported by a talented cast that includes Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Narain, Priyamani, Mamitha Baiju, among others.

The movie, said to be the final film of the superstar’s acting career before fully focusing on politics, features music composition by Anirudh Ravichander. Additionally, whispers suggest that the film might include Shruti Haasan in a brief appearance.
