Jana Nayagan: Thalapathy Vijay pays an ode to his political career with special mention in last film?

Thalapathy Vijay‘s recent movie, “Jana Nayagan,” is steadily preparing to serve as an appropriate homage to his political endeavors. The film directed by H Vinoth is currently under production in Kodaikanal, with the actor frequently seen on set.

In a fresh update from Lets Cinema, it appears that the title character in the upcoming film will be called Thalapathy Vettri Kondan, portrayed by actor Vijay. Interestingly, reports suggest he’ll have a tattoo with the same initials on his hand for the role.

For those not familiar, Vijay’s political party is called Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK). Interestingly, TVK shares the same initials. If this report proves accurate, then it appears that Vijay will be honoring his political journey with his final film.

Currently, these reports are not fully verified and the official confirmation is yet to be received from the producers. The movie “Jana Nayagan” is planned for a cinema premiere on January 9, 2026, which coincides with the Pongal celebrations the following year.

Recently, some photos emerged showing Thalapathy Vijay in Kodaikanal, where he filmed Jana Nayagan. In a clip, the actor was seen waving at fans who were swarming around his car.

The actor displayed a more slender figure, possibly for the part he plays in the film. There’s no question that the movie has swiftly attracted much interest because it represents Vijay’s last performance on screen.

Before now, the legendary actor had arrived in Madurai as part of his filming itinerary, and was seen traveling on his personal $80 million aircraft. Upon arrival, he was swiftly enveloped by enthusiastic fans and well-wishers, whom he acknowledged warmly.

Regarding Jana Nayagan, noteworthy actors such as Vijay, Pooja Hegde, and Bobby Deol will be playing significant parts in this production.
