James Gunn May Have Revealed When Superman Trailer 2 Is Coming

James Gunn might have unveiled the scheduled release date for the upcoming trailer of “Superman,” marking his initial cinematic venture within the DC Universe. Gunn and DC have both posted a sneak peek from the movie following its debut at the 2025 CinemaCon event.

Initially, the video showcased an extensive scene featuring Superman and his super-pet Krypto, along with glimpses of his dwelling, the Fortress of Solitude. Yet, it swiftly transitioned to the teaser trailer that was initially revealed in December 2024. Interestingly, the director of Guardians of the Galaxy has hinted at a possible release of Superman’s second trailer.

Here’s when Superman trailer 2 could come out

Recently, James Gunn, a renowned filmmaker, shared a promotional video about Superman on his platform, which used to be known as Twitter. In this video, he had a conversation with Jim Lee, a key creative figure who holds positions as both the chief creative officer and publisher of DC Comics.

As a passionate fan, I can’t help but reminisce about my initial encounter with the legendary comic book character, Superman. Just like these two, I was captivated by the Christopher Reeve-led Superman in a theater right here in St. Louis. In honor of Superman Day, falling on April 18th, I encourage fellow fans to share their own first memories of this iconic hero. Let’s celebrate our shared love for the Man of Steel!

Due to recent speculation, it’s widely expected that the second trailer for Superman might be released on April 18th. This date is significant because it’s known as Superman Day, commemorating the character’s first appearance in print through Action Comics #1 from 1938.

Although neither Gunn nor DC Studios have given any official word about the release of a new Superman trailer so far, the importance of April 18th along with the imminent launch of the movie suggests this could be a prime opportunity to unveil new footage from the upcoming film.

In the upcoming Superman film of 2025, David Corenswet assumes the role of the iconic superhero, donning the red cape. Joining him will be Rachel Brosnahan, Nicholas Hoult, Edi Gathegi, Anthony Carrigan, Skyler Gisondo, and Nathan Fillion, among others who make up the impressive supporting cast. The eagerly anticipated movie is set to premiere in theaters on July 11, 2025.
