Jake Busey & Martin Kove Are Assassins in Killing Mary Sue Trailer | Exclusive

ComingSoon can exclusively reveal the trailer for a new action movie titled Killing Mary Sue.

The upcoming film, titled “Killing Mary Sue,” features Sierra McCormick (from “The Last Stop in Yuma County”), Dermot Mulroney (“Anyone But You,” “Scream VI”), Jake Busey (“Stranger Things”), Martin Kove (“Cobra Kai”), and several others. This movie is the work of director James Sunshine, and it’s set to be released in June.

What happens in the Killing Mary Sue trailer?

In the trailer for “The Killing Mary Sue,” McCormick portrays Mary Sue Harper, a woman whose father was tragically murdered when she was young. Following this event, Mary Sue’s mother remarried Senator Bradley Weiner, played by Mulroney. As Mary Sue becomes troublesome, Weiner considers having her eliminated and employs assassins, including Busey, Kove, and others, to carry out the deed.

A dishonest senator orchestrates the death of his unpredictable, burnt-out step-daughter, who he views as a problem. However, this step-daughter unexpectedly unearths her innate ability to become an invincible assassin.

In this movie titled “Killing Mary Sue,” we have Sean Patrick Flanery from “The Boondock Saints” joining forces with French Stewart known for his role as Bob Trevino Likes It. Additionally, you’ll see Kym Whitley (Act Your Age) and Jason Mewes famous for Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back on screen too. The film is produced by Jonathan Sachar, Larry Layfield, Patrick Durham, and Dave Lugo.

Previously, Sachar expressed his enthusiasm about collaborating with Goldwyn, stating that he believes they are the right team to distribute this distinctive and entertaining movie far and wide for everyone’s viewing pleasure, as reported by Deadline.

Sunshine has taken on the role of producer for numerous shows including Project Runway, Total Divas, MasterChef USA, Big Brother, Supermarket Stakeout, Hell’s Kitchen, and others. In 2021, he made his first appearance as a film director with the movie “Coronavirus Conspiracy”.

Killing Mary Sue will be released on June 13, 2025, from Samuel Goldwyn Films.
