IFC Films and Shudder have at last revealed the formal trailer for their upcoming horror-thriller titled “Dangerous Animals,” starring Jai Courtney from The Suicide Squad. This spine-chilling film is slated to premiere in cinemas on June 6, 2025.
In the given synopsis, Zephyr – a defiant surfer – gets kidnapped by a psychopath with an unhealthy fascination for sharks and is kept on his boat. To evade this chilling fate of being sacrificed to the sharks swimming below, she has to find a way to break free.

The video presents Courtney as a character with an unusual fascination for sharks, transforming into a ruthless predator. His victims are lured onto a boat, where they’re set up to become his shark’s meal, serving as amusement. Some exhilarating and suspenseful scenes featuring Courtney’s character are showcased in the trailer. The film also boasts an impressive cast that includes Hassie Harrison, Josh Heuston, Rob Carlton, Ella Newton, James Munn, Michael Goldman, Jon Quested, Liam Greinke, among others.
The video portrays Courtney as a shark enthusiast turned cold-blooded villain who entraps his victims on a boat to serve as entertainment by feeding them to his beloved sharks. The trailer previews some of the movie’s heart-pounding and action-packed sequences, focusing on Courtney’s character. A talented cast consisting of Hassie Harrison, Josh Heuston, Rob Carlton, Ella Newton, James Munn, Michael Goldman, Jon Quested, Liam Greinke, and others is featured in the movie.
The movie titled “Dangerous Animals” is helmed by director Sean Byrne. Nick Lepard penned the screenplay for this production. The executive producers of the film are Fred Berger, Michael Glassman, Mehrdod Heydari, Marlaina Mah, Jacob Yakob, and Joseph Yakob. Chris Ferguson, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, Mickey Liddell, Troy Lum, Andrew Mason, and Pete Shilaimon serve as the producers of this project.
Most recently, Courtney appeared in Netflix’s Western action drama titled “American Primeval,” alongside Taylor Kitsch and Betty Gilpin.
