What did J.K. Rowling say about Pedro Pascal?
Recently, Rowling posted on X (previously known as Twitter) a screenshot of a report suggesting that Pascal had “silenced” her and stood up for trans rights. In the caption, she wrote, “I don’t feel silenced, but keep going, Pedro. God appreciates those who try hard.
Can’t say I feel very shut down, but keep at it, Pedro. God loves a trier.

A few days later, Rowling posted a response following an extensive interview Pascal had with Vanity Fair, where he and his sister Javiera Balmaceda delved into Pascal’s previous comments about Rowling. In the interview, Pascal expressed some concerns, saying, “I questioned, ‘Am I helping? Am I making things worse?’ The situation calls for great care so something can be resolved, and people can be safeguarded. Frankly, bullying is disgusting to me.” He further emphasized, “I want to shield the people I cherish, but it’s about more than that. Bullying sickens me.
Significantly, Pascal’s younger sibling, Lux, publicly identified as a transgender woman in 2021, and the actor has been a strong supporter of transgender rights for quite some time.
