As a devoted admirer of the enchanting world of cinema, I am absolutely thrilled to witness the extraordinary journey of Mahesh Babu as he ventures into the vast expanse of Hollywood with Walt Disney’s Mufasa: The Lion King. Growing up, I remember the timeless tale of Simba and his father Mufasa captivating my imagination, and now seeing a revered figure like Mahesh Babu breathe life into this iconic character is nothing short of magical.
As a devoted admirer, I am thrilled to share that I, myself, am readying to add luster to the cinematic landscape of the South, as I embark on my inaugural journey into the illustrious Hollywood realm. In an exciting turn of events, I have been honored with the opportunity to join Walt Disney’s highly anticipated family spectacle, Mufasa: The Lion King. I am humbled and ecstatic to announce that I will be lending my voice to the iconic character of Mufasa in this esteemed production.
As a lifelong Disney enthusiast who grew up watching The Lion King multiple times, I can hardly contain my excitement about the upcoming release of the film in Indian languages like Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. I have always been fascinated by the richness and depth of these languages, so hearing Mufasa’s iconic lines spoken in those tongues will be a truly unique experience for me.
On their social media platform X, the creators revealed not only the post but also a sneak peek of the movie. The big-screen debut is scheduled for December 20, 2024.
Apart from Mahesh Babu, several other gifted actors from Tollywood are joining the cast, each taking on significant roles. Specifically, Brahmanandam is set to reprise his role as the voice of Pumbaa, while Ali will bring Timon to life in this production.
Eagerly enthusiastic about the fresh chance, Mahesh Babu voiced his long-standing appreciation for the classic narrative style embodied in the movie.
Speaking about his fondness for the character Mufasa, the actor expressed, “I find the character of Mufasa captivating not just because he’s a loving father guiding his son, but also as the powerful ruler of the jungle who protects his people. Family is incredibly important to me, and working with Disney on this project holds a special place in my heart since it’s something I can share with my kids.”
For those not in the know, it was previously reported by TopMob that Mahesh Babu was considering a collaboration with Walt Disney for an exciting prospect titled “Mufasa: The Lion King”.
