“It’s not been patched yet” What’s going on with the Black Ops 6 PS5 Pro Enhanced patch?

As a long-time gamer with countless hours logged into Call of Duty: Black Ops series, I can’t help but feel a bit disappointed and puzzled by the current state of Black Ops 6 on PS5 Pro. I eagerly upgraded my console, hoping to experience the promised enhancements that were supposed to come with the new hardware. However, after spending countless hours playing the game, I haven’t noticed any significant changes or improvements.

Despite Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 receiving a PS5 Pro Enhanced update some time ago, there seems to be no noticeable improvement in gameplay for those who have upgraded. Players are left questioning if the promised enhancements were actually implemented or if they’re simply underwhelming.

Was Black Ops 6 even updated for PS5 Pro?

It seems the evidence is indicating a definite “no” for the existence of a PS5 Pro version of this game. Although the title was intended to debut alongside the console’s launch on November 7, players have yet to spot any significant variations between the standard PS5 version and the supposed PS5 Pro edition.

Users on social media platforms such as Reddit, like VictorDude, have been sharing their experiences. In his post, he mentioned receiving a PS5 Pro and finding it difficult to spot the game enhancements, specifically for Call of Duty, even though he used the same LG C3 OLED in 120hz mode with his previous PS5. He noted that the resolution appears identical, with noticeable jagged edges around straight lines still present, such as fences.

It seems there’s some confusion regarding Black Ops 6. Apparently, it hasn’t been updated for PS5 Pro yet. At the moment, the only advantage of using the PS5 Pro over the older model is the hardware enhancements that come with the new console. The promised “enhanced” features are expected to be accessible once the game receives an official update.

Looks like we’ll have to wait for the Season 1 patch

It seems that while Black Ops 6 can be played on the PS5 Pro as it stands now, a significant improvement is on the horizon with the upcoming Season 1 update. Reports suggest a substantial patch will accompany this update, which many believe could unlock the full capabilities of the PS5 Pro hardware. No official announcements have been made yet, but it’s plausible that Treyarch and Activision may choose to release both the Season 1 content and the PS5 Pro update simultaneously rather than separately. The update is scheduled for November 14, with an expected arrival around midnight EST or 5 pm BST.
