It's a wrap! Outlander Season 8 filming comes to an end!

As a die-hard Outlander fan who has journeyed through time and space with Claire and Jamie for eight seasons, it’s hard to comprehend that this is the end of an incredible era. I’ve grown attached to these characters like they were my own kin, and saying goodbye isn’t easy.

The final chapter of “Outlander” filming has officially been completed. We had been anticipating this moment, and now it’s a reality.

The team behind the scenes announced the wrap of production on their social networks, following the joyous occasion of filming the 100th episode. This milestone is both exciting and tinged with emotion for both the audience and the actors involved.

Essentially, this series has reached its conclusion in a more peaceful manner. Unlike some shows that abruptly end with cliffhangers, we’re fortunate enough to find resolution for the storylines. Additionally, there are books available that can provide further closure. This gives our beloved cast an opportunity to bid farewell to their characters. Yet, it is bittersweet to part ways from something so dear to us.

The Outlander cast shares what they would take from set

As we announce that filming for Outlander Season 8 has wrapped up, we’ve come across snaps of several cast members revealing their chosen mementos from the set. These ranged from actual keepsakes to amusing remarks.

Initially, Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe expressed their preferences: If given the choice collectively, they’d choose everything, but individually, Balfe prefers a nap while Heughan desires Jamie’s kilt. We certainly understand and appreciate their unique selections.

Sophie Skelton is deeply connected with the mustang, whereas Richard Rankin aims to depart gracefully. David Berry and Diarmaid Murtagh seem keen on acquiring rings; it’s unspecified whose ring Berry desires, but Murtagh openly expresses his wish for Buck’s ring. Lastly, John Bell seems fixated on his tomahawk and war club. In other words, each actor has their unique focus in the set.

While we don’t yet know the exact release date for “Outlander” Season 8, it seems likely that it will debut sometime towards the end of 2025, at the earliest. Considering the time required for post-production, I would personally anticipate its arrival in 2026. On a positive note, we still have “Outlander” Season 7B on the horizon and “Outlander: Blood of My Blood” as well.
