And what’s even more exciting is the rumor that it might be twice as expensive as KGF: Chapter 2. If Yash can pull off an action-packed epic on a grand scale like KGF, I can only imagine what he’ll do with double the budget!
Yash, who recently starred in the hit film KGF: Chapter 2, is poised for another role in the movie Toxic, helmed by Malayalam director Geetu Mohandas. Yet, whispers abound that the production team may have put the project on hold, although an official statement has not been released as of now.
Based on a Deccan Chronicle report, the movie “Toxic” starring Yash hasn’t been cancelled but seems to have encountered delays in production. The report further suggests that work on the film might start up soon. However, no official announcement regarding the status of the Yash-starrer has been made yet.
As a lifestyle expert, I find myself intrigued by an upcoming report by Koimoi. It seems they’re predicting that this new film will cost twice as much as KGF: Chapter 2 to produce. That’s quite a significant investment! This movie is expected to be grand in scale, making it one of the priciest productions in Yash’s career so far.
The film titled “Toxic,” often referred to as “A Tale for Adults,” is set to be a historical drama focusing on a drug cartel based in Goa. Initially, Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor Khan was rumored to play the main character, but later reports indicated that she left the production and Nayanthara took her place instead.
Additionally, it’s worth noting that the movie will likely include Kiara Advani portraying Yash’s romantic interest, along with a talented ensemble cast featuring Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, Shruti Haasan, among others, taking on significant roles.
Although the creators haven’t disclosed the entire cast for the movie, they had revealed the project featuring Yash back in 2024. A tantalizing title teaser was released by the creators, showcasing a mysterious silhouette of KGF star Yash while Shruti sang the theme song.

In addition to being reported as Toxic, there are speculations that Yash may take on the role of Raavan in the upcoming Ramayana movie starring Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi, directed by Nitesh Tiwari.
