She continues by saying, “Only the basement remained: B1, B2, and B3. We braced ourselves for the worst… as an old-timer had mentioned that’s where they took the first Cordyceps patients back in ’03.” A team investigated B1 but found nothing amiss. However, subsequently, spores were discovered, suggesting a sinister presence below. In a subtle hint towards future events, Elise remarks, “The entire floor was vacant… not even rats could be found.” Therefore, viewers are anticipating the emergence of the fearsome Rat King in upcoming episodes of the show.
Significantly, in The Last of Us Part II video game, we encounter the character known as the Rat King. This formidable entity is created by merging several stalkers, clickers, and a bloater.
