In the last episode of FBI Season 7, titled “A New Day,” a mini bomb concealed within a government-issued mobile phone detonates as part of a synchronized assault. Towards the end, Isobel (portrayed by Alana de la Garza) is unfortunately caught in the blast and falls unconscious.

Initially, her teammates assume she’s dead due to her betrayal of a corrupt deputy assistant director who ordered the assassination of federal agents. Yet, it’s later discovered that Isobel had deceived them by pretending loyalty to hide her covert mission: recording his instructions for the killings. However, shortly after revealing his crimes, she collapses and appears lifeless.

In a chat with TV Insider, Alana De La Garza hinted at Isobel’s destiny, stating, “You truly need to watch to find out. It’s an authentic cliffhanger.” She also mentioned, “It was thrilling and enjoyable to act, unlike anything I’ve done before undoubtedly. So it was a blast.

Jeremy Sisto, portraying character Jubal, expressed thoughts on the possible consequences of her character’s demise. “Her death could deal a significant setback to the office, Jubal, and undeniably the show itself. We all fervently hope that such an outcome won’t materialize.” He underscored, “Our show thrives because each character plays a vital part within this fictional family, so it would be tragic to disrupt something functioning so harmoniously.

De La Garza also touched upon the unique bond between Isobel and Jubal. “They’re both in positions of authority, yet she seeks his counsel too… They’re more than just colleagues. They’re friends, and there’s a certain camaraderie there… We share that friendship off-screen as well.

Sisto pointed out that such occurrences spark worries about infiltration. “The uncertainty stems from understanding how these individuals are being influenced… This will only push them to delve deeper into their actions and intentions.
