During an interview with Collider, Jackman was reminded of his past statement about retiring from the role of Wolverine after the film “Logan.” When asked if he had made up his mind about playing the character again after this film, Jackman provided a candid yet ambiguous answer. He stated:

“It literally does not matter how I answer this, Steve, because I’m clearly a liar.”

Jackman admitted that he genuinely thought his deceit was valid at the time. In contrast, Reynolds playfully commented that his reaction then functioned as a “safe word” with no significance attached.

Jackman shared that he enjoyed playing Wolverine most in the films “Deadpool” and “Wolverine” out of all the movies where he donned the claws.

Will Hugh Jackman return in MCU movies after Deadpool & Wolverine?

At present, it’s undecided if Hugh Jackman will reappear as Wolverine in upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe films. The reason being, his future roles in the MCU have yet to be confirmed.
