For those not in the know, whispers about her marriage began when she posted two heartfelt photos on social media showing Vanitha Vijayakumar proposing to Robert with a wedding date of October 5, 2024. Fans couldn’t contain their excitement and quickly started sending congratulations for her upcoming life change.
For those not familiar, Vanitha Vijayakumar is the daughter of longtime Tamil actor Vijayakumar and half-sister to Arun Vijay. In 2000, she tied the knot for the first time with a man named Akash, together they have two children. However, their relationship took an unexpected turn as they parted ways in 2005.
After a prolonged court case, the divorced pair shared custody of their children. Eventually, their son resided with his grandfather and later moved in with his father Akash. In 2007, Vanitha remarried Anand Jay Rajan, a businessman, and had a daughter together. Unfortunately, this marriage too ended in divorce in 2012, with the husband gaining custody of their daughter. Vanitha claimed that her relationship with her second spouse was strained due to her family dispute, causing indirect involvement of Rajan in the ensuing controversy.
After going through her second marriage dissolution, the actress was involved with a man named Robert Raj. They had been seeing each other for quite some time and collaborated in the 2015 movie “MGR Sivaji Rajini Kamal.” However, their relationship came to an end in 2017. The actress later switched her religious beliefs from Hinduism to Buddhism and disclosed that she had been battling depression for over a decade.
Subsequently, Vanitha Vijayakumar entered into a relationship with photographer Peter Paul. After some time together, they decided to marry, but this action led to Peter’s former spouse, Elizabeth, filing a police complaint against them for remarrying without obtaining a formal divorce first. Nevertheless, Vanitha and Peter’s marriage came to an end in 2020 through mutual agreement.
