As a die-hard fan eagerly awaiting my S.W.A.T. fix, I can’t help but wonder if there’s a new episode airing tonight, March 14th. Since October 18, 2024, when the eighth and final season of this gripping series premiered on CBS, we’ve been hooked. The last broadcast was Episode 14 on March 7, so I can’t help but ask: When does the next episode, Episode 15, drop?
Here is everything we have discovered about whether a new episode of S.W.A.T. will air on March 14.
Could another SWAT Season 8 episode come out tonight on CBS?
Yes, S.W.A.T. Season 8 Episode 15 will come out tonight, March 14, on CBS at 10 pm ET.
Previously noted, Season 8 debuted in October and continued to air each week until December 13, 2024. Following this, the show took a break for the holidays, much like other Primetime series on network TV. The broadcast resumed on January 31, 2025, and has been consistently airing weekly ever since.
The TV show S.W.A.T. primarily centers around a particular team from the Special Weapons and Tactics unit of the Los Angeles Police Department, headed by Sergeant II Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson Jr., portrayed by Shemar Moore. It delves into typical elements of action, crime, and mystery storylines, but also sheds light on the intricate social issues prevalent in the city it’s set within.
The official logline for S.W.A.T. Season 8 Episode 15 reads, “S.W.A.T.’s anti-terror sting operation at a bus station is thrown into chaos when felons, fleeing the police, burst in and take the bus station hostage; Bennett (Merrin Dungey) redoubles her efforts to force Hicks (Patrick St. Esprit) out as S.W.A.T.’s commander.”
The television show S.W.A.T. debuted on November 2, 2017, and was terminated in May 2023 following six seasons. Nevertheless, CBS subsequently approved the seventh season, initially stating it would be the final season. Later, they reversed their decision once more and renewed the series for Season 8 in April 2024, just two months after Season 7 had premiered. Recently, CBS announced the cancellation of S.W.A.T., which appears to be permanent this time. However, it seems that fans have already initiated a campaign in hopes of another change of heart.
