Actor Finn Jones, who portrayed Iron Fist in the self-titled series, has expressed his wish to rejoin the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The show initially streamed on Netflix for two seasons between 2017 and 2018, but the character of Iron Fist did not gain widespread approval from critics and viewers alike. Now that Charlie Cox’s Daredevil has re-entered the universe, fans are speculating if other Defenders might follow suit.

Recently, the actor from Game of Thrones made an appearance at the LaConve anime convention in Mexico, discussing the potential comeback of Iron Fist and related topics.

A user named Warling on X (previously Twitter) shared a clip where Finn Jones discussed the possibility of his comeback as the character. He expressed an eagerness for the fans to witness this return, but acknowledged that some fans might not want him back due to the negative response earlier. Furthermore, he admitted to being mindful of the criticism towards the character and his performance in it.

Nevertheless, Jones openly declared his eagerness for the role of Iron Fist and said, “In response to those criticisms, I’d say, ‘Just give me a chance, buddy.’ I’m here, I’m prepared, and I want to show everyone I can do it. So, I really hope that opportunity comes my way.

Ever since the debut of Daredevil: Born Again, there’s been quite a buzz about the potential comeback of fan favorites like Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and Iron Fist. I for one, can’t help but speculate on their possible return!

In February 2025, Brad Winderbaum, Marvel’s Head of TV and Streaming, spoke with Entertainment Weekly. He didn’t disclose a lot but shared that the ideas being thrown around were indeed creatively thrilling and something they were seriously considering exploring.
