Following over three decades with Insomniac Games, their CEO Ted Price has declared his departure from the gaming industry. Officially, he’ll part ways with the company by the end of March, with a trio of co-heads taking over his leadership role.
In his open letter, Ted Price announced his retirement after more than three decades at the helm of Insomniac Games. He expressed that it was the right moment for him to step down and allow others to guide our team moving forward. Additionally, he addressed the recent wildfires in Southern California and shared how the Insomniac team has been working tirelessly to aid those affected by these disasters.
On the PlayStation Blog, Insomniac Games announced that Ted Price will be stepping down as studio head and will be replaced by Ryan Schneider, Jen Huang, and Chad Dezern. These three leaders shared their personal histories within the company and expressed a commitment to maintaining the studio’s focus on culture while also seeking ways to adapt strategically for long-term success.
This action signifies a significant shift for one of Sony’s most productive studios, Insomniac Games. Right now, the studio is intensely focused on developing Marvel’s Wolverine. Their recent project, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, will be available on PC towards the end of this month.
