Infinity Nikki hack tells players to commit suicide just hours after launch

As a seasoned gamer with years of experience under my belt, I must say, this Infinity Nikki hack incident has left me quite disheartened. I’ve seen my fair share of gaming hiccups, but nothing as alarming and downright disturbing as this.

It’s been reported that the newly released free-to-play game Infinity Nikki, a popular open-world dress-up title, was targeted by hackers shortly after its debut. Despite being heavily promoted as a female-friendly gacha game for months, the launch of Infinity Nikki has unfortunately been marred by cyber attacks.

After resuming operation, the main site of the game was found to be functioning normally. However, eagle-eyed fans detected that Infinity Nikki’s site had been compromised mere hours after its debut. Instead of downloading the game on PC or browsing its website as intended, players were met with a distressing message instead.

The Infinity Nikki website suggested, in a way that’s hard to misunderstand: ‘Consider giving up or try Genshin Impact private server.’ There was a QR code next to the text, but for safety reasons, we chose not to scan it.

On the r/gachagaming subreddit, users cautioned fellow gamers about a recent cyber attack. It appears that enthusiasts of Gacha games encountered an unexpected issue while attempting to download the game, as one user put it, “I was utterly bewildered.

The Infinity Nikki hack only lasted for around 30 minutes before developer InFold Games managed to revert the website back to normal. However, it’s not known how many players were affected by the half-hour hack period of the site.

It’s important to mention that the individuals behind the private Genshin Impact server, as mentioned in the hacked communication, have refuted any connection to the attack. Messages from users linked to the Genshin Impact community have shown their disgust towards the hackers for exploiting their server to broadcast malicious content.

Additionally, the open-world fashion game wasn’t the only one impacted by this issue. Other InFold gaming sites encountered similar problems. Moreover, the latest addition to the “Mr. Love” series, Love and Deepspace, showed the same suspicious messages to its followers.

Despite the unfortunate incident during its release, you can now enjoy Infinity Nikki on PC, mobile devices, and PlayStation 5 platforms.
