Indiana Jones and The Great Circle PS5 release confirmed by Xbox

Indiana Jones and The Great Circle PS5 release confirmed by Xbox

As a long-time gamer who has seen the ebb and flow of console exclusives over the years, I must admit, I am feeling a bit jaded about the latest turn of events with Indiana Jones and The Great Circle. It seems like every time I get attached to an exclusive title on Xbox, it slips through my fingers and lands in the hands of PlayStation players.

As a devoted fan, I was eagerly anticipating the exclusive release of Indiana Jones and The Great Circle on my Xbox. However, recent whispers suggest that this exclusivity may have been premature. It appears that the game will now be gracing PlayStation 5 consoles just a few months after its initial launch on Xbox and PC.

Indiana Jones PS5 release date

At Gamescom, along with Borderlands 4 and additional content, it was officially confirmed that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will make its way to PlayStation. After its debut on Xbox in December, PlayStation 5 users can look forward to playing the game in Spring of 2025.

On December 6, 2024, Indiana Jones and The Great Circle will be playable on both Xbox and PC platforms. In the ensuing months, a version of the game for PlayStation 5 will also become available. At this point in time, it appears that the PS5 edition will match its counterparts with equal content across all releases.

Xbox Game Pass subscribers can enjoy Indiana Jones and The Great Circle at no extra cost, while PlayStation gamers will find it available as a full-price release. Despite the difference in pricing, the impressive look of this game makes it an appealing purchase for both platforms.

The state of Xbox exclusives

As Indiana Jones makes his way to the PlayStation 5, Xbox enthusiasts find themselves missing out on another exclusive title. While Halo Infinite and Starfield remain confined to Xbox systems, games such as Hi-Fi Rush and Sea of Thieves have found their way onto PlayStations as well.

It appears challenging to commit to the Xbox platform when blockbuster titles such as Spider-Man 2, The Last of Us, and others continue to be PlayStation exclusive. Although new games like Perfect Dark and Gears of War: E-Day have been announced as Xbox exclusives, it’s uncertain if they will remain exclusive to the Xbox system.

Currently, Xbox users find themselves with fewer exclusive games, causing a strong attachment to their platform. However, compared to Xbox, PlayStation players seem to have an abundance of unique titles, even including Halo, Forza, and Starfield. It’s good to hear that Genshin Impact is now making its way onto Xbox too.
