As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but share my thoughts on the Shankar directorial franchise film that’s close to my heart, rooted deeply in Indian cinema. This epic saga has been reborn in two captivating parts, with the legendary Kamal Haasan gracing the screen once more as the central figure. While the initial chapter was met with an overwhelming response, the second installment, Indian 2, received a more moderate reception at the box office.
There’s been a lot of excitement surrounding Project Indian 3, with regular updates about potential delays in its completion.
Lately, in a chat with Cinema Vikatan, director Shankar has ended his long-standing silence about the repeated delays of Indian 3, and shared a significant update regarding its potential launch.
The director announced that production for the third installment of the Kamal Haasan film will start after the release of “Game Changer”.
Additionally, when queried regarding a potential release date for Indian 3, the director indicated that all related matters would be addressed and determined following the premiere of the film featuring Ram Charan.
In recent times, there’s been significant resistance towards the debut of Shankar’s next film, Game Changer. This is because the creators of Indian 3 have intervened with the film board in an attempt to prevent its screening in Tamil Nadu.
According to reports from Telugu 360, the creators of the Kamal Haasan-led movie have requested a pause in its release. This is because they feel it’s necessary due to ongoing work on Indian 3.
This isn’t the first time that Shankar has spoken up about the paused project Indian 3.
Previous speculations suggested that the film could bypass a traditional theater release and instead premiere exclusively on online streaming platforms, due to the less-than-satisfactory performance of its predecessor.
However, Shankar quickly dismissed such unfounded speculation, implying that Indian 3 might be set for a standard cinema debut.
