Incoming parents guide: A coming-of-age comedy not for kids!

As a seasoned gamer and movie enthusiast with over two decades of experience under my belt, I’ve seen my fair share of raunchy teen comedies, from “American Pie” to the more recent “Blockers.” However, when it comes to Netflix’s new offering, “Incoming,” I must admit, it seems to have taken things up a notch or two.

There’s a fresh teen comedy streaming on Netflix you might want to watch, titled “Incoming“. If you enjoyed the movie “Superbad“, then this film should be perfect for you. It tells the story of four friends as they navigate their first week of high school and their very first high school party during their freshman year.

What is Incoming rated?

If you imagine a typical teen movie, it likely falls under the PG-13 rating. However, that’s not true for the film “Incoming“. This movie carries an R rating, which suggests content that might be unsuitable for viewers under 17. Therefore, contrary to what one might think, “Incoming ” is not meant for all teenagers. Instead, it’s intended for those who are 17 years old or older.

Because the movie contains mature themes such as drug use, alcohol consumption, explicit sexual content, frequent strong language, some instances of violence, and occasional nudity, it is not recommended for younger teenagers to view.

Below you’ll find a selection of some adult-themed situations from the racy teen comedy, which may not be appropriate for younger audiences:

  • There’s excessive cursing throughout this film. There are scenes showing characters using curse words such as f*ck, motherf*cker, a**, sh*t, and b*tch. Vulgar language is also used several times in this movie. For example, words like c*m and d*ck were used by some of the characters in scenes.
  • During the party scenes, teenagers are shown drinking alcohol, vaping, and smoking marijuana. There’s even a scene showing characters snorting a substance up their noses.
  • When it comes to sexual content, there’s a brief scene showing two characters having sex. Both characters are fully naked, but you can’t see their private parts.
  • There’s also a scene where a female character’s nipple is briefly shown.
  • Lastly, there’s a scene in the movie where a bunch of characters start fighting each other. Some people end up bloody from the fight.
