INAYAH – Life after Gods shows off stylish combat & platforming in new video

ExoGenesis Studios and Headup Games are nearing the completion of their upcoming game, INAYAH – Life after Gods, and they’re unveiling fresh details about how the game will function. In fact, ExoGenesis recently showcased a sneak peek at INAYAH’s combat and navigation, highlighting an elegant strike-and-parry mechanism as the main character explores a barren sci-fi world reclaimed by nature.

This week, ExoGenesis Studios and Headup Games showcased a fresh glimpse at INAYAH’s gameplay to Shacknews. The game, titled INAYAH – Life after Gods, is an action-packed 2D platformer that features hand-drawn animations. Players assume the role of Inayah, a rejected outcast on a mission to explore a shattered post-apocalyptic realm in search of her tribe and homeland. To protect herself, Inayah utilizes a versatile gauntlet capable of transforming into blades, powerful fists, or a whip – each with distinct advantages for movement and combat. By skillfully and swiftly switching between these forms during battles, you may find a way to conquer formidable adversaries such as the warrior Drone, depicted in the video below.

As we progress, we’re given glimpses into the skill development system, enabling players to unleash and enhance abilities tailored to their preferred playstyle. This could range from enhancing weapon power or modifying their unique attributes and stats, all the way to boosting Inayah’s health and other essential factors. Additionally, you’ll traverse different biomes teeming with distinctive obstacles and adversaries. Along this journey, you’ll establish connections with the scant survivors who can converse in this shattered world.
