As a seasoned gamer with decades of gaming under my belt, I can confidently say that “TankHead” has caught my attention like a heat-seeking missile. The concept of fighting and scavenging enemy tanks for parts to upgrade my own tank is reminiscent of the good old days when looting corpses in games was considered innovative.

In TankHead, you fight other tanks and use their weapons to increase your own shooting power.

In TankHead, you get the chance to experience the thrill of battling final bosses, envisioning their massive swords or laser-beam helmets, and thinking “I want that!” This game lets you do just that by blasting tanks and other mechanical enemies into pieces, and then salvaging those fragments for useful parts.

Tank and Needle

For several years, Alpha Channel has been refining it, and now it’s here – a game that takes you on an adventure across a futuristic terrain. In this journey, you’ll be controlling your vehicle, engaging in battles against enemy tanks and robot-like adversaries, and sending drones to search for valuable items like armor and weapons among the wreckage they leave behind.

The games Steam page explains:

In the role of Whitaker, you need to push forward towards Highpoint, a destination that requires traversing the Extremely Challenging Area (ECA), an environment lethal to humans. To achieve this, Whitaker will need to mentally transfer himself into a Needle, a durable drone designed to withstand the ECA’s harsh conditions and operate your Tank simultaneously. Utilize the Needle and Tank to engage and overcome the vehicles and creatures of the ECA, ensuring safe passage to Highpoint.

In terms of gameplay, this game shares similarities with other tank-themed games. Essentially, you maneuver your armored vehicle, moving it from one protective position to another. Your objective is to find opportunities to fire at opponents while keeping your tank’s vulnerable areas, such as the engine, concealed.

Once you successfully eliminate one of your foes, either the pesky armor that frequently deflected your bullets or the mecha robot that constantly bombarded you with its heavy gun, you’ve now obtained it, and a new challenge from your next adversary lies ahead.

Thus far, the game has exclusively been released through the Epic Games Store, where it is currently available for purchase at a discounted price of $24.89 until December 18th. Following this date, its price will increase to $29.99.

Of all the bosses’ weapons, which one have you always wished you could wield personally? Ever thought about giving TankHead a spin?
