As an utterly devoted admirer, I can’t help but express my awe for Allu Arjun’s Pushpa franchise. The buzz surrounding this cinematic masterpiece continues unabated, even after weeks since its parts were initially unveiled. And just when I thought the excitement couldn’t get any bigger, music maestro Devi Sri Prasad sent shockwaves through the fan community with his stunning revelation: one of his tracks appears to have been duplicated!
Oo Antava copied by a Turkish artist?
In no time, the hit tune “Oo Antava” from Pushpa: The Rule gained massive popularity and became a catchy song that people couldn’t resist tapping their feet to it. Samantha Ruth Prabhu showcased an entirely new persona in this song, which received tremendous acclaim.
Recently at an event, renowned composer Devi Sri Prasad startled the audience when he disclosed that a well-known tune of his has allegedly been copied overseas. He unveiled that the culprit behind this act is a Turkish vocalist known as Atiye.
He mentioned that you’ve all appreciated the Oo Antava song from Pushpa. Now, that same tune has been translated into Turkish. Singer Atiye’s rendition bears such a strong resemblance to our original version that one might even label it as a direct copy.
DSP claims he is willing to file a case on the grounds of copying
Expanding on the matter, the composer stated that while this occurrence showcases the worldwide impact and influence of Telugu films, he remains prepared to take legal action against the singer for plagiarizing his composition.
DSP expressed concern about potentially taking legal action and deciding the best course, yet he is proud that their Telugu song was imitated.
More about Turkish singer Atiye, who copied Oo Antava
For those unfamiliar, Atiye is a well-known Turkish pop artist who’s put out numerous songs in both Turkish and English.
The song Anlayana, her most recent release, has raised questions about plagiarism due to its resemblance to the melody of the Telugu song Oo Antava. This track came out in 2024, and critics allege that the artist carelessly copied the tune from the original composition.
