As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for the nuances of the film industry, I find it fascinating to witness the evolution and growth of talented actors like Keerthy Suresh. Her upcoming Hindi debut in Baby John, a remake of Theri, is undoubtedly an exciting venture that showcases her versatility as an actress.
Keerthy Suresh is ready for her first Hindi movie appearance alongside Varun Dhawan, in the forthcoming film titled Baby John. This new production is a reinterpretation of the 2016 Tamil movie, Theri, which was initially released.
In simple terms, Suresh is taking on the same role that Samantha Ruth Prabhu had in the original movie. Meanwhile, Keerthy has discussed her plans to follow in the footsteps of the actress who played Kushi.
In a conversation with Galatta Plus, Keerthy Suresh admired Samantha’s performance in Theri, referring to it as ‘naturally impressive’.
When asked about her feelings regarding playing Samantha’s role from Theri in a remake, Keerthy expressed, “The character of Samantha in Theri is incredibly beautiful and she portrayed it with such ease. While reprising roles in remakes can be frightening, for the character of Baby John, I am not afraid because the original character was executed so skillfully.”
In a recent chat, I was queried about whether the narrative of Baby John would mirror the plot of Theri. However, it’s important to note the eight-year difference between these two cinematic journeys. Rest assured, significant adjustments have been incorporated in terms of timing and location to ensure each story maintains its unique identity.
Additionally, she emphasized that the preferences for entertainment among Tamil and Hindi audiences differ significantly. She explained, “What resonates with Tamil viewers may not always appeal to Hindi viewers. Consequently, adjustments based on these differences have also been implemented.”
During the final part of the interview, Keerthy Suresh was questioned about her personal career decisions and the films she has chosen throughout her career, particularly if she believed it was appropriate to commit to certain types of roles at the beginning of her acting journey.
Regarding this, the actress stated that at first, it seems acceptable for an actor to accept any opportunity that comes along as a means of demonstrating their talent. However, with experience, she’s come to understand the importance of being very discerning when choosing her roles.
Keerthy mentioned that she’s fine with having limited screen time in a film as long as the character is intriguing. She emphasized her desire to explore various roles, and feels that this is the perfect moment for such ventures.
For those not familiar, actress Keerthy Suresh has left everyone in awe with the preview of her upcoming movie titled “Raghu Thatha.” Beyond this film, she also has other projects lined up on her schedule, such as “Revolver Rita” and “Kannivedi.”
