"I’m Not Excommunicado" — Logan Paul Apparently Still Not Banned From Japan After Horrific 2017 Scandal

As a gamer with a keen eye for pop culture and a deep appreciation for the evolution of personalities, I find myself intrigued by the recent developments surrounding Logan Paul’s relationship with Japan. In 2017, his infamous visit to Aokigahara Forest left an indelible mark on public consciousness, a testament to the power of digital media and its potential to shape narratives, for better or worse.

Back in 2017, Logan Paul encountered one of the most significant scandals of his career during a trip to Japan. Since then, he’s had no shortage of controversies. Recently, he clarified that he hasn’t been permanently banned from Japan. However, unless invited, he has no plans to return to the country.

The Aokigahara Forest Incident

For individuals unfamiliar with the event: Back in 2017, Logan Paul visited Japan’s Aokigahara Forest, known for its tragic history of suicides. During his vlog, he and his companions unfortunately discovered a person who had taken their life hanging from a tree, and they chose to film it. The video was initially published, but it was swiftly removed by YouTube due to its sensitive nature.

After that point, it was widely believed he was barred from entering the country. However, he has now been able to clear up this misunderstanding.

I’m Not Excommunicado

Last week on Logan Paul’s podcast, Impaulsive, my buddy Mike Majlak quizzed our special guest, WWE sensation Dominik Mysterio, about his ideal getaway. To my delight, he expressed a yearning for Japan, and even playfully suggested that Logan Paul might want to revisit the Land of the Rising Sun someday.

After further discussion, Dominik Mysterio inquired whether Logan Paul could potentially visit Japan. Logan Paul assured him that he was not banned from Japan, but emphasized that he would only revisit if invited.

My rule was if I went back I like to being invited back and I haven’t gotten the invite.

Appears as though Logan Paul grew uneasy about this subject, swiftly moving on to another topic instead.

Maybe the YouTube star really has changed over the last seven years. We’ll see.
