iicon is a new event from the organization behind E3

Since E3 has come to an end, its organizer has been planning a fresh event aimed at emerging from its ashes. The European Space Agency (ESA) has unveiled iicon (Interactive Innovation Conference), which is a brand-new industry gathering that intends to blend the video game sector with the broader entertainment universe. The inaugural iicon will take place from April 27-30, 2026, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Today, I’m super excited to share that I just stumbled upon the official website for iicon, the event we’ve all been waiting for! Here, I got a sneak peek into what’s in store. At iicon, it seems like we’re going to be treated to some visionary speeches, stimulating discussions, and hands-on workshops – all focusing on shaping the future of gaming, business, and tech. Plus, I can’t wait to rub shoulders with industry execs who are leading the charge in these sectors! Can’t wait to see what happens next!

Before launching iicon, the ESA initially tried to sustain E3 by hosting an online event and collaborating with ReedPop, the organizer of PAX. After announcing the cancellation of the 2024 revival, it was disclosed that the ESA was engaged in a comprehensive overhaul or “total reinvention” of E3.

Instead of iicon being accessible to everyone like E3, it will be an exclusive event that requires invitations. The official partners for this event include Epic Games, Nintendo, Disney, PlayStation, Square Enix, EA, Take-Two Interactive, Microsoft, Ubisoft, WB Games, and Amazon Games.
