What is Hammer Down about?
In the given synopsis, “Mac (Elba)” is portrayed as an expert in driving large trucks across the country, with a ‘no questions asked’ approach towards the goods he transports. A twist occurs when he decides to bring his determined teenage daughter along for a job. This decision puts them in danger, as they are pursued by a ruthless gang of criminals who will go to extreme lengths to obtain the cargo Mac has been assigned to transport. As they flee from relentless killers and stay one step ahead of the police, Mac and his daughter must join forces to keep the cargo out of harmful hands and ensure their own survival.
Simon Hatt will pen and helm the upcoming movie “Hammer Down,” which is based on his own short film. Notably, Hatt has worked as James Gunn’s assistant and served as a producer for both Suicide Squad and Guardians of the Galaxy. In this project, Idris Elba will not only star but also produce alongside Gina Summers and Madison Weireter.
