After over four months of waiting, John Leguizamo, who’s known for his work in the Ice Age series, has given us a fresh update on the plot of Ice Age 6. He will be reprising his role as everyone’s favorite character, Sid the ground sloth.
In addition to Leguizamo, Ice Age 6 will see the comeback of long-standing franchise actors Ray Romano, Denis Leary, and Queen Latifah, who will once again voice Manny the mammoth, Sid the ground sloth, Diego the saber-toothed tiger, and Ellie the mammoth.
Apart from the primary actors, Simon Pegg, who played the one-eyed weasel named Buck in Shaun of the Dead, has also agreed to return for another performance. This character made its debut in Collision Course in 2016 and was later seen again in The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild on Disney+.
Currently, neither the director nor the scriptwriter for this project have been disclosed. However, it’s being produced by 20th Century Animation under the guidance of Lori Forte as the producer.

Growing up with this entire series has been a significant part of my life, and for many others too, it’s become a sort of landmark event in our childhood. Now, the original cast is returning, along with new generations – grandparents, parents, and kids. This journey is going to be incredibly emotional for a lot of us. I believe this movie will offer a heartwarming experience. It’s packed with laugh-out-loud moments from Ray Romano, Denis Leary, and hopefully, some humor from me too!

The animated movie Ice Age was created by Blue Sky Studios, which is part of 20th Century Fox. It featured an ensemble voice cast that included Josh Peck, Seann William Scott, Keke Palmer, Wanda Sykes, Nick Offerman, Jennifer Lopez, Peter Dinklage, and Josh Gad. From 2002 to 2016, a total of five Ice Age films were screened in theaters, earning a global box office revenue of $3.2 billion. In 2021, Blue Sky Studios closed its doors, with Disney obtaining exclusive rights to the franchise.
